They wanted to give baristas a way to grind coffee quickly for multiple brewing methods from medium to coarse grinds, without ever compromising the integrity and flavor of the beans. 

The powerful Forte BG burr grinder has an intuitive touch-screen interface, portafilter holder, dose by weight or time, a grind range larger than previous , a beautiful metal casing, and tons of other features that make this grinder invaluable.

 

Visually, the metal casing is really what sets the Forté BG apart from other grinders.

If your grinder will be seen by customers at the cafe, you may want to consider the BG burr grinder. Not only is it powerful, but it’s visually appealing as well. 

Another feature that really makes the Baratza Forté BG great for coffee shops is the ability to either dose by time or weight.

You can set the dose by time or weight by using the LED touchscreen, which is a simple and quick process.

You can also program up to three settings and grind espresso extremely quickly one after the other with accurate yielding every time. 

It’s also important to note the Forté BG’s extremely powerful and advanced motor.

The Forté’s high power torque motor is 70% more powerful than any Baratza burr grinder, including the Baratza Vario.

It’s so powerful that it’s actually able to function and turn at a slower rate, which preserves the quality of the coffee grounds and helps with temperature control. 

The Baratza Forté BG comes with a total of 260 grind settings, making it one of Baratza’s most versatile and accurate grinders on the market.

You can choose from 10 macro settings (labeled 1-10) and 26 different micro settings (labeled A-Z).

Combined, you’ll have 260 options to ensure consistency and precision each time you brew your coffee.

260 Grind Settings:

With the Baratza Forté BG, you’ll have a wide range of up to 260 different grind settings to choose from every time you brew your coffee.

On the left side of the grinder are your micro settings, which you can control by moving the vertical switch from A to Z.

On the right side of the grinder you’ll find your macro settings, which you set by moving the vertical switch from 1 to 10.

In total this gives us 260 settings to select that you can use with anything from french press to espresso! 

High Power Motor: 

The Baratza Forté BG comes with a high torque motor that is 70% more powerful than most other Baratza grinders.

It is more powerful even than the Baratza Vario series, and it can also run for twice as long!

The torque motor is so steady and powerful that it has the ability to turn at a slower rate, which helps control temperature.

Some grinders with weaker motors may overheat because of the friction. This is bad for the grinder and for the ground coffee because they could lose some of their flavor.

The Baratza Forte BG motor uses a thermal cut-off switch calibration tool if it begins to overheat, so you’ll never have to worry about the temperature.

Dose by Weight or Time: 

A lot of automatic burr grinders on the market have either a “grind-by-time” or “grind-by-weight” dosing system, but the Baratza Forté BG burr has both!

Time-based dosing lets you program your settings based on the amount of time you want.

Baratza also uses weight-based dosing in many of their other products. Grind by weight dosing uses a built-in scale to start and stop based on weight, not time.

With the Forte BG, you have the option to use either dosing method depending on what you prefer!

54mm Stainless Steel Flat Burrs: 

You may have seen ceramic burrs on the Forte AP, but the 54mm flat steel burrs inside the Forte BG are durable and precise.

The stainless steel is extremely powerful and will last you years without worry. The flat shape of the burrs yields an extremely accurate grind every time.

LED Touchscreen Interface:

The Baratza Forté BG comes with an LED touch screen panel, which makes setting and programming extremely easy and helps you save time.

You can turn on the grinder with the touch activation, as well as set your time or weight for dosing. You can also program up to three doses using the touch screen activation.

Metal Casing: 

The Baratza Forte BG is made with a beautiful stainless steel metal casing. This sets it apart from most other Baratza grinders and truly helps it stand out if you want to show it off at your cafe.
